The son of an electrical engineer and technology specialist, Bert Ruler's life has been filled with circuits and wires from the very start. As a child he would fix up broken stereos from his father's shop and wire them together to create mix tapes using several tape players at once. So, a movement to the DJ world was a very natural progression. The discovery of DJing led to the eventual discovery of Rave Music and Electronica. Since the mid 90's he has been a completely committed and fully contributive member of the underground electronic movement. With a combination of DJ sets and Live PA performances, his shows are never dull and always full of original material. He got his start playing illegal raves and house parties in the Midwestern United States and soon branched out. He even hosted a weekly FM radio show with over 250,000 listeners. A move to Europe in 1999 led to a whole new world of opportunities. It began with smaller events in Southern Switzerland and expanded on a global scale. Bert has played in innumerable venues in over 10 countries on 3 continents! His latest endeavor, CrookedSpine Records, has been a great success. They will be hosting various events around the globe in upcoming months; including the first ever 5.1 surround party in Switzerland.
