Feeling a bit camera shy

Bethany began my undergraduate career at Saint Augustine’s College in Raleigh North Carolina. There she studied a variety of repertoire which included music from all periods (especially the classical and romantic periods) jazz, and Negro spirituals (with a concentration on music as it pertained to Afro American history). During my studies at Saint Augustine’s College, she participated in the College Concert Choir and the Saint Augustine’s Gospel Choir. Our choirs performed throughout the eastern and Midwestern part of the United States. She studied music theory, piano, class voice, individual voice and a number of other musical subjects. She deeply appreciated my time at Saint Augustine’s College and immediately recognized the span of my musical growth.

During my time away from college (at full time student status) she studied music at local colleges and the University of Indianapolis. She took individual applied music lessons in voice and piano as well as Introduction to Music and Jazz. She served as the minister of music and organist for several churches and performed regularly. Bethany entered the University of Indianapolis as a freshman in the music department... During my freshman year, she participated in the Women’s Chorus and the hand bell ensemble. She also appeared as a guest soloist with the University of Indianapolis’ jazz ensemble, the Crimson Express. As a freshman at the University of Indianapolis, she studied elementary and intermediate theory, Music History I and II as well as other subjects in the areas of music and education. She also performed in the spring departmental as a soloist and participated in concerts in the hall, at churches, and at Wabash College. She served as the church keyboards at a local church and also as a department music assistant at Emmerich Manual High School.

As a second year music student of the University of Indianapolis, Bethany has participated in the Women’s Chorus and the Hand bell ensemble. She have studied theory and taken applied voice and piano. She has also studied basic conducting and a number of other courses. She has performed in the hall in a second departmental recital as well as other musical concerts with the ensembles in which she participate. She was also recently given charge of the music department of Saint Timothy Church, where she served as the Minister of Music. Since I have returned as a student of the University of Indianapolis, she has been an honor roll student. She has two education scholarships and a music grant from the department. Bethany appreciated my time at the University of Indianapolis. It is her belief that she have grown as a musician while here. She looks forward to my continuing growth, development, and success in the study of music.
