Biography

Better Days is an established, high energy rock & party band from Fairfax, Va. The group’s mix of current rock with classic, nostalgic tunes and well-placed vocal harmonies provides a bit of a unique twist to those covers you’ve come to love! This mix, combined with a high energy stage performance gives them a distinctive sound and appeal to their audience. Great music with those sing-along hooks that we all know and love will always keep you coming back for more!

The band is currently booking gigs at many local venues in the Northern Virginia area. We tailor our set-list for each event and enthusiastically promote via social media including Facebook and our band website (www.betterdaysband.com). We regularly perform for a broad range of fans in a wide range of venues in Northern Virginia. From family friendly festival crowds to rowdy college bars – Better Days has entertained them all.

What started as a friendly jam with a couple of friends in 2010 began picking up steam as the guys started playing for small crowds at the local watering hole and backyard BBQ's. As time progressed and friendly (totally biased of course) audiences provided plenty of positive feedback, we decided to take it up a notch. Over the next couple of years, the group has morphed into one of the better cover bands in NoVa. The guys genuinely play for the love of music and it comes out in their performance. Better Days is comprised of Dennis Mayer, our dynamic front-man, Tony Finley on Bass, Jeff Arnold on Rhythm Guitar, Rob Jones on Lead, and Drew Young behind the kit. Although each of the members has his own impressive resume, the collection is truly more than the sum of the parts. You’ll hear subtle hints of many influences ranging from Skynyrd, Tom Petty & Poison to the Zac Brown Band within our sound. We love music, and love sharing that with our audiences. So come on down to our next gig, grab a frosty brew, and roll back with us to Better Days.
