Betterman's Rule

BandRockPop

Betterman’s Rule produces a radio-friendly sound, perfect for multiple radio formats including Rock, Top 40, Pop, and Alternative. A combination of Rock, Blues, and Pop, Betterman's Rule has been compared to Train, Sublime, Better Than Ezra, and The Black Crowes.

Biography

Betterman's Rule formed in late winter of 2003. Born in a barn in a frozen landscape, icy footprints beside amplifier drag marks, the band has been heating up stages ever since.

Their songwriting is a collaboration, usually built on a framework of Pat's lyrical or melodic idea. Each adds their own heart into it to form the Betterman's Rule Sound.

The members are all veteran musicians, with most playing for more than a decade. Whitworth has been playing the bass for 15 years and drummer Dan George has been at it for only one year less. Their singer and guitarist, Patrick Page, went to school for music, graduating with a degree in music and video business. Along with the guitar, Byron Marks switches between bass and keyboard.

Lyrics

What Goes Up

Written By: Betterman's Rule

What goes up is bound to come down,
Your ego gets bloated
And you're bound to hit the the ground.
They wanna believe in you
There's so much deceiving you give out.
What goes up is bound to come down now.

But you don't know it all so well,
You wanna tell the world to go straight to hell.
Though I've tried so hard to believe you...

You've gone back up and now your coming down
All the hard headed things you do
have brought you to the ground
Now no one believes in you...
You're really gonna see whats due now
What goes up is bound to come down now.

But you don't know it all so well,
You wanna tell the world to go straight to hell
Though I tried so hard to believe you

It's such a sad sad story
When your reaching for the glory
Such a sad sad story
when your defeated by your glory.

What goes up is bound to come down
Your ego got bloated
And now you've hit the ground
Now they've seen the real you
They never will believe in you now

What goes up is bound to come down.
Such a sad sad story...
When your reaching for the glory.
Such a sad sad story
When your defeated by your glory.
