Bio

"Taking the Music Industry by Storm"

Better off Dreaming is a Virginia-based emo/pop punk band with influences such as Fall Out Boy, The Starting Line, and Armor for Sleep. From moderately heavy guitar riffs to melodic lead and backing vocals, Better off Dreaming has been providing quality music since their first show on September 14, 2004. Such songs as "Self Esteem and a Knack for Romance," "Sweet Sentiments (Hearts for Rent)," and "The Story Changes" are examples of songs about life and love, which are positive things that Better off Dreaming writes best. Incorporating piano, acoustic guitar, strings, and other instruments into their music, Better off Dreaming provides a vast array of instruments to attempt to stray from the normal guitar, bass, and drum rock stereotype.

Driven by indescribable passion, this loyal group of musicians consists of Daniel Mitchem on vocals/guitar/keyboards, Dustin Roberts (Gook) showing off bass guitar/backing vocals, Barry Bowling on lead guitar/backing vocals, and Burke Bailey taking on percussion/backing vocals.

With plans of performing with exceptional names in the near future, receiving more promotion, and touring full-time, Better off Dreaming will have a full schedule. Many songs are in the making and their debut full-length album is to be released at the end of 2005. Better off Dreaming looks forward to making it somewhere with their music one day. The road to success is long, hard, and sometimes a letdown. However, they feel that they have what it takes to succeed in taking the music industry by storm.
