Better Than The Wizards

Better Than The Wizards is a Melbourne-based five piece who write the catchiest of catchy pop tunes featuring upbeat percussive sections and an impressive saxophone accompaniment.
‘In The Water’ begins quite quietly and tamely, however the song soon bursts into a funky jive which you can’t help but to nod your head to and get jiving yourself. The addition of a gospel choir backing in the bridge adds a heavenly element to the track until the song soon vamps back up into the additive chorus.
My favourite track from the group is entitled ‘Up All Night’, mainly because it allows the lead vocals of Daniel Farthing to truly shine. Although the video is quite basic, it’s enough to get a sense of the party vibe the band likes to bring to their stage performances. Keep an eye out for these guys, they’ll soon be doing big things! - Tone Deaf

This may sound strange – But I’m going with it anyway. I pressed play to a bunch of Better Than The Wizards tracks as I set out to clean the house. (I like to stay humble and do these things for myself as opposed to diving into my millions and hiring individuals to complete such tasks). Anyway, truth be told – I couldn’t stop smiling. Yep, each track had me grinning from ear to ear as it blissfully filled my humble-abode with keys, saxophone and raspy-leads.
