Betty Ford All-stars are from New York City. We are a trio. Our thing is punk, rock, danceable beats, some sonic dissonance, lights, fog, and powerful performances. We draw from bands like The Fall, Dead Kennedys, Flipper, and Hypnotics. To keep it unpredictable and satisfying to us we keep our lyrics and song structure "open". The songs melody, theme, and hooks remain but the structure and lyric details move about. BFA is not a jam band. Betty Ford All-stars are a re-action to what we feel is a talented, yet mostly boring New York City rock scene.
BFA is a re-action to break out of the perfect-ready-for-the-major-label-band syndrome that seems to plague this town. We are friends that met at a NYC bar that decided to make a band that we would like. We are raw power fun. We are Betty Ford All-stars. Cheers.
