"Betty Navas debut album Superqueen Review"

Women are also guitar virtuosos. They are in no way inferior in any way to men specially in music and guitar playing. Hail from Miami, Betty Navas proves us right with her debut album Superqueen. The rock music will have to rely on her. Just listen to The Way I do and you understand. With her catchy riffs and her raw voice that reminds you of a little bit of Joan Jett, Betty takes us easily inside of her musical journey.
This great mixture of 80s and classic rock sounds has somewhere something infectious. You are stunning. Her crunching guitars as well her energy make you want to hear more about her music. The track Superqueen is no exception to the rule. It rocks.
Betty has her own style and her tune. If you like classic rock, I suggest you the song Love is.. She really does an awesome work in No One in The World. She blends catchy riffs with a wild rock music , undeniably modern and legendary. Betty can do everything. You love heavy rock, I recommend you Stay in My Skin. Why not on radio Save Me tonight, my favorite ? Intense is definitely the best word to describe this song. Ridiculously perfect in the very catchy tune You make Me. The super upcoming queen of rock music is ready to shine at the top of the charts. Give her a listen and spread the word.
I am sure she has a bright future ahead her. Her debut album is successful. Spread the word. She deserves it. - By Sylvie Lesas | Artists, HomePage, New music

"Betty Navas"

This Miami bred artist began cultivating her musical styling in grade school while studying voice and piano. Her musicianship varied from singing and playing in school assemblies, local television programs, the acclaimed Miami’s Children’s Chorus, playing guitar with an acoustic ensemble, singing in various plays and touring with a pop/rock ensemble. After attending Hollywood’s famed Musicians Institute of Technology, and a stint as a backing guitarist to some LA locals, Betty pressed pen to paper. This transition led to turning a thought into a chorus and melody from emotion into popular music.

Redefining her vision, her road to success has already begun as an artist writing/performing music for her own band, for the stage play Fine in Hollywood and independent film Chance (directed by Amber Benson of TV’s Buffy The Vampire Slayer). Diverse musical ability has also enabled her to sing in a commercial video and play a date with hardcore Warner Brothers outfit Heidi . This diversity culminates work that represents Betty Navas as a talent. Talent and the ability to transform life into music are the true window to Betty’s soul. - Flip Side To Music-Tracy Lewis

"Betty Navas"

Aside from all the great music, I think one thing that makes me take special notice of Betty Navas is the way she makes learning music seem so easy and natural. Check out her page and take a lesson… - Girls Rock Radio

"Musician Interview with full-time touring musician Betty Navas"

Betty Navas is one of the lucky working musicians who doesn’t need a day job. Playing music is her day job. Betty began with piano and singing in the Miami’s Children’s Chorus and eventually directed her dedication to the guitar. Since then, she has made a career out of performing at casinos, getting to play every night and doing what she loves. See…art can pay. To further follow her passion, Betty has released her own album Superqueen to inspire other people, especially girls, and show them that a career as a musician is possible, without the struggling part. - Musicgoat.com

"Girls can play guitar too~Betty Navas"

So maybe this isn’t the most mind-blowing thing I’ve ever heard, but I’m sharing it because the world needs to pay more attention to women guitarists. Why? Because I’m sure there is a girl out there thinking about picking up a guitar but she might never go through with it because she’s thinking that girls don’t play guitar—wrong!
Allow me to introduce Betty Navas, whose debut Superqueen, is proof that women shouldn’t be afraid to try their hand at guitar, because they can be successful at it. In the past, Betty was a part of hardcore Warner Brothers outfit Heidi, and from what I hear, she is a full-time touring musician nowadays. She makes her rounds (and a good living) playing at different casinos throughout the country. A charmed life indeed.

"Betty Navas"

Raw, edgy, and exuberant, Betty Navas brings energy and elegance to create an absorbing and fresh rock/pop sound.

Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Betty started to play piano at age 5, learned guitar at age 12 and hasn't looked back since. After moving to Los Angeles at age 19 she's had success playing in a Warner Brother's band, Heidi, had her own music in the Independent Film "Chance", by Amber Benson, and worked on the TV show "Music 2000" for Time Warner.

Betty is a stage performer at heart and has played at an array of popular venues such as The Gig, The Joint, 14 Below and The Cat Club. There's a palpable energy every time she steps on stage and the audience leaves always wanting more.

Betty's debut Album "SuperQueen" exemplifies her range as an musician and will surely put her on the map as an artist to watch for. This Super Queen is ready to wear the musical crown and isn't afraid of any obstacle in her path.

SuperQueen is definitely jumpy music- with a rocking stylishness. Think of your favourite rock band mixed with Avril Lavigne pop! - Girl.comau

"Betty Navas at The Coconut Teaszer"

When going out to hear a band I'm always a little jaded when it comes to a live situation because you always get the same old thing these days. Either somebody trying to be somebody else's tribute band or whatever the mainstream is doing. This time it was a whole different vibe. It was Betty Navas, pop rock Queen. She hit the stage with a five piece band. Her set started off with a couple of rockin tunes, names "Prometheus" which highlights her guitar/voice skills and went into "Infatuation". After which again showed her musicianship with her playing the piano. She said :Now were' ready to rock" Then she blazed into a tune called "SuperQueen" showing the Teaszer that the woman was serious about her guitar playing. Her band consists of Johnny, drums and Roger who hold the rhythm section tightly. Alex on solid guitar. Doreen the backup vocalist blended well Betty's vocals although she seemed a little nervous about being on stage. I think if she (Doreen) shook it a little bit she would have something. All in all if you're into straightforward pop rock then Betty Navas is the act you can't miss!

"Bassisit Merry Adin returns with Common Ground To The Skydome"

.... " Navas is a fairly accomplished player, with a self-produced CD out, which if you like crunchy guitars and female vocals that don't grate, then you might want to approach her on the stage and pick one up.

Her music is hard, her playing is deeply rooted in the classics and she loves to play for the crowd.
She does a solo during a Santana medley where the band will simply let her go, front and center, and on two nights last week she had the audience members rising out of their seats for a standing ovation at the solo's conclusion. ".......
