“BETWEEN THE LINES” is a musical group from very diverse backgrounds and musical experiences that have come together to form a very unique sound. This high-energy, dance-oriented, modern and alternative rock, pop, funk and R & B group can put it down like no other on the Metro Detroit music scene. Right up front is lead singer GINA ABRUZZO, a young lady who is by far one of the best vocalists to come from the midwest in a long time. Her vocal styling is as smooth as silk, yet has the impact of a Mack Truck. She is a powerhouse vocalist!

CHARLIE COEN plays lead & rhythm guitar. He can rip and shred solos like you would not believe, all while singing lead and background vocals. Charlie is a phenomenal player in every sense of the word with 15 plus years professional experience on guitar, drums and bass. He also has a full blown, state-of-the-art studio, where he has produced or co-produced numerous artists as well as engineered and played guitar and or bass/drums on countless recording sessions. Next up is drummer CALEB GATES who is utterly out of this world. He attacks the drums, not with volume but with a tenacity and determination to find the perfect groove for every song we play, not just the songs that are his personal favorites (we all have them) and his execution is nearly flawless (we say nearly just to keep him humble). Caleb is also an accomplished guitarist, songwriter, and aspiring producer who has made a name for himself in the Christian Rock music genre for many years.

Rounding out the cast of players is bass player and background vocalist FREEMAN SPELLS, JR., whose vast musical experience has helped lock this group into the world class performers they have become. Holding down the groove on bass is essential to the group’s sound and he does so very well. Having played with many groups on the local, national, and international scene, Free has the distinction of being the “elder statesman of the group,” a title the group likes to remind him of often!
