Beyond Order

Throughout the early 2010's, punk rock and underground music in general began to die in Muskegon. Countless venues from the 90's and 2000's were closed, either from lack of interest, to avoid growing legal grumblings, or because there was no youth for the baton to be passed to. The basement show was becoming a thing of nostalgia as the members of notorious punk bands from the time went their own way: Jim Jones and the Kool-Aid Kids, Duck Bomb, Xtra Vomit, Clawhammer Lobotomy, Cycles, and countless others.

Music never really dies, it just evolves. Wanting to forsake the problems of playing for bars (such as cover charges, tribute bands, and unappreciative patrons), a duo consisting of two generations worth of punk experience formed a small jam project. The duo became a trio, the trio became a full band, and after several iterations, Beyond Order was born. Each time the band changed, it also grew, and so they took on the symbol of the phoenix in their logo.

Much like the phoenix, Beyond Order looks to resurrect the underground music scene. Using hard riffs, fast vocals, and politic-fueled and opinionated lyrics, punk music is not completely bled from the veins of the West Michigan hardcore scene.
