"Music Notes"

Northwest Indiana rock combo Beyond Words - Dan Kundrat (guitar/vocals), Jeremy Overton (lead vocals), Jaime Prieto (bass) - give a headline performance tonight at Chicago's The Elbo Room (2871 N. Lincoln Avenue).

Beyond Words play original modern rock not unlike that of rockers Chevelle.

This is a driven group of individuals who work tirelessly on their original material, taking any show that they are offered in order to perfect their stage presence. Their goal is to write music with meaning and choose topics that everyone can relate to in some way. In early 2007, the band cut their first demo CD. Finally hearing a studio-quality demo from this group made everyone believe that they have a chance in this industry.

The band has gone from playing a backyard party to playing the House of Blues in Chicago and opening for national act Seether (Wind-Up Records), opening for national act Hurt (Capitol Records) at The Rave Eagles Club in Milwaukee, WI, and gaining recognition at each place they played. Venues in the Chicagoland area include the Double Door, Austin's Fuel Room, Subterranean, Elbo Room, Cubby Bear Wrigleyville, Lakeshore Theater, and The Note. Radio airtime has been given on WVJC The Bash 89.1, WAAK 94.7, and various online radio outlets such as Q101 Local Online.

Currently the band is in the studio working on the first full-length album at Groovemaster Studios in Chicago with producer/engineer Joshua Shapera, who has made a name for himself and has helped out studio owner and producer/engineer Johnny K. The band is currently shopping management, labels, and distribution opportunities while they work to record their first full-length album. They feel like they have something to say and their dream is to make music a way of life instead of just a hobby.
