Bio
Andi Hoffmann and B-Goes are the embodiment of roots rock with soul. In addition to Americana, pop, adult contemporary, the band has also been labeled alt.country, jam band, folk rock-- genre's not important, they just want to make you dance and have a good time. Their excellent live shows are strikingly similar to tent revivals, where everyone comes away a believer. Swiss frontman Andi Hoffmann is a burgeoning European rock star but is practically a native New Orleanian. Guitarist Robert Mache' grew up in Hong Kong and has traveled the world with the Continental Drifters and Steve Wynn. Bass player Thomas McDonald can sing beautifully and has played with almost every single New Orleans band, ever. The band sounds something like a Rock-n-Roll baby birthed from Cajun's dalliances with Pop. Influences include Elvis Costello, Cowboy Junkies, Lou Reed, Daniel Lanois, Tom Waits, subdudes, Zydeco, Steve Earl, John Hiatt, Little Feat, Robbie Robertson, Paul Simon, Switzerland, New Orleans, The Cure, Ben Harper, Paul Simon, Blind Boys Of Alabama, David Lindley, Wallflowers, Keith Frank, Boozoo Chavis, and Los Lobos. The band is able to make old German men dance, which is quite an accomplishment. The young European girls like to dance too, but that's a little easier. It's a great band that delivers on the live stage with excellent performances by talented musicians. Video of the band performing on Swiss TV can be found at
