Bio
In honor of a group that opened the door for the entire Seattle-based “Grunge Era”, including Nirvana, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam, Black Gives Way To Blue is a tribute to the music of Alice In Chains.
Employing no silly outfits, gimmicks, or tacky likenesses that make a mockery of what Alice In Chains has accomplished in the music business (including: over 35 million CD sales, 2 No. 1 Billboard albums, a quadruple-platinum release, 14 Top Ten songs on mainstream rock charts, and 8 Grammy Award nominations), Black Gives Way To Blue epitomizes how an artist truly wants to be paid tribute: by translating their music to the masses, flawlessly, with great passion and respect.
As professional musicians, the members of Black Gives Way To Blue enjoy national success with their original projects, including: song licensing to film, television, and extreme sports DVD’s, professional product endorsements through: Michael Kelly Guitars, Rockfield Pickups, Tacoma Acoustic Guitars, and all Roland digital products; as well as production credits on a growing list of musical talent.
Their motto says it all: No gimmicks, no wigs, no silly costumes; just the core of why millions of AIC fans, worldwide, love and follow the group’s legacy: the music.
