Bio

Big Break is a rock band that has been thoroughly mixed with reggae, blues, ska and even bluegrass. They released their first, self-titled album as a brand new band in the Summer of 2011 and will release their first full length this Summer, entitled "Head Full of Melodies". Their live show is not an easy act for any band to follow with powerful vocals and songs that get to the point. They have gained recognition around North and South Carolina in a very short time and will flourish with the release of their second album.

Songwriter David Myers is a passionate front man with a talent for conveying the music he plays. With lyrics spoken clearly, the carefully constructed songs are a pleasure from the first time they are heard.
Bassist Alan Erickson is classically trained in piano and has been a student of music theory nearly all his life. He has a unique approach to the Bass and does an excellent job at contributing to the mix of styles this band produces.
Drummer Stephen "Cracker" Williams doubles as a bass player for The Farewell Monument. Having several recording sessions under his belt with multiple instruments, Cracker has made strides towards better musicianship and continues to do so, challenged by Myers' songwriting.
Conga player Ashley Honbarrier joined the recording team for the second album and comes to life during performances. Her harmonies smooth out the melody at all the right times.
A big future for this team of musicians, with influences from Sublime, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Black Keys, Blind Melon, Operation Ivy, Ray Charles, Elvis Presley, Doc Watson, Bad Religion, The Independents, Perfo, Johnny Cash, Reverand Horton Heat, Modest Mouse...
If they are playing nearby.. DO NOT MISS IT!
