Big Brotha

Born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, rapper Charlie.S and singer Larry Jay Houston quickly learned that the "American Dream" sold to them through television was not the reality for most African-Americans in America. As an alternative to slanging and hanging out on the block, they found solidarity and love in 808's and kick drums, Kanye West albums, Beethoven symphonies, and old dusty records. Determined to be more than a product of their environment, they set out to become musical icons building their first recording studio in Larry's mother attic. After months of hard work and a handful of recorded songs, they would find themselves being signed to their first recording contract with a Chicago independent label called Kore Enterprise's. 

However, after years of being screwed over and lied to about the release date of their project, they broke from their contract only to find themselves back at square one. Soon after, Larry and Charlie would part ways due to failed attempts to revitalize their image within the musical community in Chicago. With the rise of Trump, assault on African-Americans, and the mistreatment of human rights around the globe, the two decided to put their talent back to use for the empowerment of all people. With controversial singles like Selena, The Love Dies, and Smoke & Mirrors, their anticipated fall mixtape is sure to spark anger, excitement, and inspiration globally.
