Formed in Toronto, Canada in 2011, 'Big Crush' (singer Joanna Swan, guitarist Dave Bayley, bassist Guenther Kapelle (Wild T & the Spirit) & drummer Dale Harrison (The Headstones/Alannah Myles) is a passionate and energetic 4 piece band that plays an array of killer blues/rock original and cover tunes at their live shows. Some covers you may recognize, and others you may have never heard before, but guaranteed, you will love them! The original music Big Crush creates is new and fresh, but still holds on to the roots of good ol' blues/rock! The band is very passionate about the music they create and perform.

From the first show, both band members & fans instantly realized that there was magic happening on the stage. They have set the bar high with the combination of talent, experience, and stage presence with an original blues/rock sound that kicks!

Influenced by artists like Janis Joplin, Beth Hart, Joe Bonamassa, Dana Fuchs, John Mayer and classic bands like Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin, BIG CRUSH released their debut album ‘Temptation', in March, 2012. Recorded at Canterbury Music in Toronto, with engineers Jeremy Darby and Adam King, the album is a hard hitting, heavy riffing, sexy blues-rocker from start to finish! Joanna Swan’s strong, passionate vocals complement Dave Bayley’s exciting & tasteful guitar work throughout. The album is full of intense new songs that tell stories of love and loss, hunger and heartbreak, all framed perfectly with catchy musical arrangements that bring them to life! Their fantastic version of the Supremes/Vanilla Fudge song ‘You Keep Me Hangin’ On’ will definitely rock your blues away!

The band will be touring in support of their new album in the summer & fall of 2013 throughout Canada & the US at festivals and concert clubs, then heading to Europe for a Spring tour in 2014.
