Somewhere in the back of the Tricou House on Bourbon Street sits a burly biker type chatting with friendsover a glass of Crown Royal. With what looks to be a 6'6" frame, thick salt and pepper handlebar mustache and long hair parted in the middle, he doesn't look much like your typical guitar picker. Sharing one characteristic with hip-hop artists, he draws his musical inspiration from the past. His smooth and melancholy way of interpreting those old songs, with his deep baritone vocals, attracts attention. Armed with an arsenal of obscure songs by some well known folk singers, Big Daddy 'o' takes the stage and makes those songs his own. As Clarence 'Gatemouth' Brown once said, "It's alroght to play covers as long as you make them your songs and try not to make sound exactly like those who wrote it"

Big Daddy 'O' was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana where he got his start singing in his family's barbershop quartet. At the age of 19 he became a street musician in the French Quarter, singing and playing guitar, and stealing licks where ever he could. He quickly moved into the Bourbon Street clubs where he met his wife Gretchen. They soon moved out to the country to raise their family. His music has matured in the roadhouses and bars in Louisiana and Mississippi, establishing a strong fan base through his powerful rapport with each listener.
Rabadash Records "discovered" Big Daddy 'O' playing at small bar in Amite, Louisiana. His approach to performing songs makes each song sound like his own. At 6'6", he has a strong presence on stage that no one forgets. He performs as a solo act as well as with his band, "The Big Daddy 'O' Revue."
