Bio
Baron Black & King Kalabash are from Martinica’s Island.
The band was born in 1990 for Baron Black & King Kalabash with the name of Big Famili Zion Soon.
The objective of both artists is give the message and to discover an connect with all hidden talents and give the chance to make listening by the people.
Both artists share their experiences and resources with the young people of their environment, in this way, they give support mutually and inspire to others with their creative activity.
Since the creation of the band since more than 15 years, they have participated in many musical projects. Recording to a lot of compilations and paticipating in too many humanitarian projects, particularly in Martinica and Luxemburg.
In early 1999, they come to Europe by Paris and create an study with their own label: Black House Music.
In 2000 were choosen to representate to Martinica’ Island in Bourges Printemps.
In 2003 September they was played for first time en an East Europe Country, Pilsen,
Czech Republic featuring with Damalistik, Roots Survival Sound and Love Corner Sound.
These experiences give them even more energy and inspiration for public appearances,
as the atmosphere, which comes into being spontaneously wherever they sing, is simply magical.
Their production is based upon wise texts and engrossing combination capability, which they have brought to perfection together. With playfulness, they sing in English,
French and their own Creole language.
Their lyrics are based about life, relationships, politics and most of all about the
possibility of perfect symbiosis with God and all living things.
They give an example of this themselves and their audience confirms it to them excitedly.
Big Famili would also like to introduce their music universe to a broad public.
They expect nothing from you, only that you give them a chance.
