Bio
"The hip-hop world is at a crossroads." With such a diverse display, Bigg Ant (born Anthony Wayne Tartt Jr.) is poised to wake up a dormant industry and cement his name in this game. But more than that, with highly anticipated mixtape, Heartbreak & Broken Bottles currently in production, he hopes to change the tide of current hip-hop music; swaying it in a more insightful, meaningful and passionate direction. Ant has always had a love for music and an interest in writing and reciting lyrics with influences such as Biggie Smalls, Tupac Shakur, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Jay Z, etc.; but at the age of 9 years old with the tragic death of The Notorious B.I.G. on his birthday (March 9, 1997) making music professionally became an obsession. He would write everywhere he went and could almost always be caught rhyming when not playing basketball or football. Growing up in and having virtually all of his family living in some of the more unsavory areas of Cleveland offered plenty of material for the young songwriter to speak on. In the later parts of High School Ant began to actually record his lyrics and hearing himself as well as witnessing listeners reactions only deepened his obsession. In the Summer of 2006 Ant was signed to independent record label M.I.A.M. Inc. Though this relationship didn't last long, its where Bigg Ant got his desire to take on an executive role and do more than just make music. This led him on a networking journey throughout the country to every major musical outlet in search of strategy and insight from other individuals that have found success in this industry. After finding comfort and knowledge in Atlanta, Georgia, the search landed him in New York City where he fell in love and called home for many years before returning to Cleveland for family issues in late 2011. Currently Ant is the CEO of up and coming industry titan, Forever About Money Entertainment, better known as F.A.M.E. In addition to Chief Executive, Ant is currently the companys franchise artist, but F.A.M.E. also boasts a short roster of extremely talented artists, and projections for exponential growth and success in the very near future. Looking to excel where his contemporaries have failed, Cleveland, Ohio native Bigg Ant brings promise of a new day in hip-hop music.
