Bio

Bigg Fatts is a Houston based artist and event host. He has been writing music since the early age of 14. His story is one of an overcoming underdog. Bigg Fatts was raised on the gloomy and dangerous corners of town but to survive and flourish he evolved into a fast-paced, charismatic street kid who could make you hand over your last dollar and laugh while doing it.

Inspired by local Houston artist like Lil Keke, Fat Pat and Hawk Fatts began his music journey to be the “freestyle king” but in high-school he was exposed to artists outside of Texas legends including Jay Z, Outkast, Biggie Smalls, Big L, T.I., and Lil Wayne. His style is a fusion of all of these coupled with his life experiences and his own flavor.

Bigg Fatts’ first serious project, the “Fast Food” mixtape was received with great reviews including nods from the Houston Press, Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes and Houston Trend. His sense of humor and advance wordplay skills allowed him to grace The House of Blues in Houston and Dallas, Fitzgerald’s, and travel on multiple regional tours.

If anything were more attention grabbing than his advanced word-play skills, it would have to be his outgoing personality and charisma. When Bigg Fatts isn't spitting raw bars into a microphone he is playing the role of the funny guy on the radio and at a variety of venues as a host. His fans have been known attend some sub-par open mics just to hear Fatts rant and laugh but what he doesn't take for a joke is the responsibility placed on him by his neighborhood.

“When you start at the bottom like I did, every step is a major feat. Every time I touch a stage somebody in my hood is shocked because they can’t believe I’m making a move. Some people live in areas where they are surrounded by doctors, lawyers, judges and all of that, but that’s not my reality. If I am able to buy a house without selling drugs that’s gone inspire at least ten kids to graduate. People think rappers ain't much because of some of the content a few of them put out but those people don’t understand the power of just giving kids on my side of town the chance to dream of more. It doesn't matter if I ever see my face on MTV, I know my music is making a difference.”
