"Rapper Mr. Bigg Time Gives Back to the Columbus Community"

Columbus, GA.-March 22, 2007, Indie rapper Mr. Bigg Time has taken time out of his hectic schedule to give back to the Columbus community. After his performance in Columbus Friday March 16th, he has come back to serve as a judge at The First Annual Bi-City All-Star Classic on Saturday March 24, 2007. The game will showcase the top male and female high school basketball players in the Bi-City region. The event will be held at the G. Lumpkin Jr. Center at Columbus State University.

Mr. Bigg Time has a large fan base here in Columbus. His performance at the Club 1244 show last week was well received. He was a guest on 101.3 The Beat last week and he may be returning for a second Columbus performance later this month.

About Mr. Bigg Time

Mr. Bigg Time began his career in music in 1996. In just two short years he was able to record his first album World Renown. Two years later he released his self-titled album Tommie Walker selling an impressive 20,000 copies independently, making his hit song "Check My Footwork" a major success. He has performed with Hip Hop heavy hitters such as Ludacris and been featured in numerous publications such as Ozone Magazine. Mr. Bigg Time is the CEO of 1803 Records, named after the College Park home where he was raised by his late grandmother. With his track record of success, there is no doubt that Mr. Bigg Time has lived up to the name of his new album titled Independently Major.

March 15, 2007, Atlanta, Georgia: Independent artist Bigg Time is set to release his long awaited follow-up album Independently Major. Bigg Time's influences range from gangsta rap icons such as Tupac and NWA to Reggae legend Bob Marley. His first single, the upbeat anthem "Trigga Fingaz" is already creating a buzz nationwide.
Independently major is the follow up to the 1998 album Rider 4 Life which sold 20,000 copies worldwide. Rider 4 Life featured the breakout hit "Check my Footwork" featuring UGK, Pimp C and Bun B. Initially inspired by shoes, this song came to mean much more to Mr. Bigg Time "Footwork is just getting out here, making it happen, praying and working hard."

Bigg Time, a native of College Park, Georgia has made a name for himself as an independent artist after dropping the hit song "Check my footwork" in 1998.
Raised by his grandmother, Bigg Time has always been a dreamer. He has a gift of seeing things in others that they do not see in themselves. Although he has lost many friends along the way to accomplishing his goals, Bigg Time has never forgotten the lessons that his grandmother instilled in him. He always puts God first and will never give up on his dreams.
Bigg Time's album Rider 4 Life was released in 1998, he independently sold 20,000 units. He later started his own record label 1803 Records.1803 was the address of his late grandmother's house where he was raised. The experiences that he faced in this house are what have molded Bigg Time into the man that he is today. Due to tragic circumstances he lost this house that his grandmother left to him. Not wanting to loose her message, Bigg Time decided to name his record label after that house to preserve the legacy that his grandmother left to him.
Bigg Time's latest album Independently Major is available in stores and online now
