""Are You Local?" - Our picks for's best new bands contest"

“Could hip hop/electro twosome Bight Club be the next MGMT - or Outkast for that matter? With MC Nutz combining a smooth rap delivery and just-as-hot falsetto with the nimble-fingered Tony Tone on the decks, it’s quite likely.” - l’étoile magazine - l'etoile magazine, LOL/OMG

"MN Bands at SXSW"

“ Bight Club’s Minneapolis roots and rhymer/DJ anatomy recall Atmosphere, but their here-then-there soulful wackiness and idiosyncratic charisma more closely resemble Gnarls Barkley and Outkast.” - The Minnesota Daily

"Bight Club "Hot Fuss""

Bight Club wanted to make sure in the press email that we knew they didn’t sound like other Minneapolis rappers. For anyone who has seen the band live or heard their material, this shouldn’t come as a surprise - Reviler

"Lookbook/Bight Club/Zoo Animal"

I caught Bight Club and Lookbook but missed Slapping Purses and Zoo Animal as I needed to eat an inside out burger over at First Ave’s new restaurant The Depot. Bight Club is definitely a local act to watch, - More Cowbell

"Do Talk About Bight Club"

“MC Jeremy Nutzman and beatsmith Tony Rabiola don’t toy with subtlety. Instead, their hip-hop duo Bight Club gnashes it electric teeth and digs in with Nutzman’s André 3000-channeled flow. The result is a high-energy product that diverges from all other Twin Cities hip-hop sects. It manages an amalgamation of old (funk), recent (Outkast’s “ATLiens”) and a glaring newness. Thats is to say, its so far from boring.” -

"Bight Club fights for Minneapolis"

Hip-hop lovers take note: Bight Club’s stock is on the rise. In a little more than a year together, the local duo has snatched’s “Are You Local?” crown, rocked out at South by Southwest and released “Sweat,” an EP that manages to capture all the dynamism of their rowdy live shows. - The Minnesota Daily

Bight Club's Debut LP "Dreamworld Vs. Minneapolis" 7.24.10

Yes, they’re from Minneapolis. No, they don’t sound like Doomtree or Rhymesayers. And yes, they’re getting buzzy - fast.

Fresh off a Are You Local? best new band victory and an attention-grabbing South by Southwest stint, Bight Club is back with their debut LP “Dreamworld Vs. Minneapolis.”

Despite their roots, Bight Club is anything but Midwest humble. With MC Jeremy Nutzman’s ability to shift from rapid spitfire verses to grooved out, soulful wordplay over beatsmith Tony Rabiola’s electro-orgy beats, it’s clear the duo is more parts “Stankonia” than “Lucy Ford.”
