BIG IN EUROPE (2008) Demo

The core members of Big In Europe have been performing together for the last 4 years, but the band's history goes back much further. Jack Anderson and Jim Wilson have been playing and recording together for the last 30 years. Jack was actually Jim's drum teacher and started teaching drum lessons at only 13 years old! Nathan Calouro grew up in Bristol and was a family friend of Jack's. Jack and Jim opened a small recording studio in Bristol as a side business, and the trio started working and recording together in the 90s. The band (originally called "Plan B" took on several different incarnations before becoming Big In Europe. Jack and Jim also had regular work in general business and wedding bands while Nathan played in a duet with a singer/guitarist for a number of years. Eric Leffingwell had been playing the local club circuit for a number of years before joining forces with the guys. Just as things got rolling for Plan B, the band's guitarist moved away and Eric, seeing that the band was not moving forward, left to pursue other opportunities. Jack, Jim and Nathan gave the band one last try by posting an ad in a local arts and entertainment paper looking for a guitarist and bass player. Dan Blanchet responded to the ad and auditioned in the Summer of 2005, filling one vacancy in the band. Bob Thibeault responded in early Fall of 2005 and came on board as the bass player. Big In Europe started putting together a setlist and after 6 months of rehearsal and promotion, the band hit RI and MA clubs in the Spring of 2006 and built a local following. In Fall 2007, Bob left the band to pursue other career opportunities and Eric Leffingwell, original bass player for Plan B returned, filling out the band's current lineup. Big In Europe hit the studio in January and February of 2008 to record its latest demo and is once again hitting the club circuit.
