Big Jay

I was born Jonathan Conner in Detroit Michigan. July 1st 1987. Since the age of 12 i have been in love with music. I have always written my own lyrics. I have a passion for putting ideas together and making people dance and relate to my personal experiences. Music is everything to me. Its my first love. For three yrs after high school i was in a group called young luv productions. During this time, i performed on numerous occasions. I performed at a carnival, several open mics, the showdown in motown, the fun day festival, the talent show ( senior yr ), talent show(middle school). My biggest influence is Tupac. He is the reason i try to write my songs as true as possible. Others are kanye, lil wayne, jay z, biggie, nas, jeezy, david banner, master p, outkast, busta rhymes, big trump, ludacris, plies, and 50 cent. plus more.... What Sets me apart from the rest? I feel like most artists are too lazy....these days... I feel i am hard-working and responsible. i am dedicated and ready to take my career to the next level. I take criticism well and i am open to any comments about my craft. I am not conceited at all. I am confident and I have a positive attitude about life. Over the past yr and a half i have kind of been in the background. I have split ways with young luv productions. I am currently affiliated with the rap group ILL. M.OB. Over the past yr I have worked hard to build a studio in my apartment. I currently record on pro tools. I am also learning how to make beats using MASCHINE. I am working on recording and mixing my own songs at this time. I am looking to book gigs and take my career to a new level. I am only 21 yrs old. I am confident that i will make it big. I am ready!
