Big Livy – a five-member band from Detroit, Michigan, has delivered its original and electrifying blend of vintage rock, country, folk, funk and jam-band blues to audiences in Detroit, Chicago and cities and towns in between.
With “The Suicide King” EP, Big Livy captures in five original songs what live audiences have appreciated about the band – fearless musicianship, gorgeous rock melodies, and lyrics that distill the aching paradoxes and blind optimistic search for love and future in the rubble of a 21st century rustbelt apocalypse. “The Suicide King” was recorded in an old red Church in Plymouth, Michigan, and financed by the sale of Big Livy’s broken-down Jeep Wrangler.
