Big Sky

BandRock

Ambient spazz out deep grooving melodic songsters.

Biography

The psychedelic soft-core trio Big Sky formed in 2004 when bassist Jeff Knutsen and vocalist/guitarist Steven Myron founded a musical kinship with casio guitars, delay pedals, and a 4-track. They eventually began to explore their electronic ideas with a rock trio and enlisted drummer David Christian to flesh out their sound. Big Sky recalls the spirit of such classic tunesmiths as Buddy Holly, Suicide, Spacemen 3, and the Stooges. The players have, in other forms, recorded for Narnack & Warp records and have gigged and toured with Blonde Redhead, Richard Buckner, The Gris Gris, The Libertines, Langhorne Slim, TV on the Radio, Pinback, Soulwax, Radio4, Coachwhips, Vietnam, TK Webb, Aa, and The Fall. Big Sky is currently recording their debut EP, due out in early 2007.
