"Krystal 93 - KYSL"

Big Slick has become one of the best bands to go see in Breckenridge and Vail....With a rippin' guitar player and a flanking bass player...the percusion duo behind the band rounds out the act nicely. Furthermore, their setlists are eclectic by mixing some classic rock deep cuts in with their skillfully crafted originals. The lady's can shake a leg and the dudes will enjoy watching the finger work of Big Slick's guitar player. A must see act!

"The Eagle 101.7, 95.3 FM - KTUN"

What can I say, to start ill tell YOU a story… Imagine standing in a desert, dancing thru a fire and having the hot coals licking your boots. You start to dream of gorillas and then a chicken knows what to do…sound strange??? No, you’ve just had a hard night of dancing, drinkin and listening to the band, Big Slick. They consist of members whom never fight over who is taking over the sound you hear. The music flows from one member to the next in a tight, story telling, rockabilly, and jive slash groove rock sound. Big Slick even manages to add an authentic flavor in the drape of sound which immerses you. What that means in English, a perfect blend of rhythm, sound and time.....

Bio

Big Slick mysterously began in March of 2004. Their first few gigs were played in June and July of that year at two of the most well known venues in the mountains of Colorado, The Goat in Keystone and Sherpa and Yeti's in Breckenridge. Due to the success of those shows they were happily accepted as a consistant bill on their respective calanders. Since their inception in 2004 the band has performed over 150 headlining shows. A constant attraction in the Rocky Mountains and most recently in Denver, headling Quixotes True Blue and supporting at Bender's Tavern.

Big Slick is a rock band that bases its sound around the explosive guitar of Tim Johnston The members are consantly pushing each other to the edge on stage and in the end wowing audiences and bringing them back for more.

Their influences come from Classic Rock, Blues, Funk, Folk, Bluegrass, and just straight up Rock n' Roll. With a heavy rhythm section and a rippin guitar the audiences are always moving their feet and staring at Tim's lightning fast hands.

Big Slick tackles many aspects and realms of music but sticks to the main task at hand which is rockin' hard by playing their large repetoir of original music. Though over time the band has built quite a large list of cover songs that they choose from to mix into their shows. With their diverse original music and cover songs the audience always hears music they like.
