Bio

This ya boi Train and imma keep it 100. If you want to know about me…JUST READ! I was born Delano R. Clemonts, December 17, 1981 in Lanett, Alabama. We made a family move to Greensville, Georgia when I was six, that’s where I would live the rest of my years up until High school. As a youth I knew I had a passion for music. I’ve played percussion instruments since elementary, by age nine I was playing the violin. My uncle use to DJ at local spots while in the Army. Using his equipment on his off time, my brother and me would rap on the microphone while instrumentals played with my uncle giving pointers. I grew up listening to the sounds of the Gap band, Beastie boys, Orange Juice Jones, Slick Rick, Too Short, Outkast, Goodie Mob and many, many more. I started taking rap seriously around the tenth grade. I have to say, my main influence at the time was Khujo Goodie because of his ability to educate while simultaneously keeping his aggressiveness. I graduated from Greensville High school in southeast Georgia. Immediately after High school, I joined the Army August of 2000. The Military gave me orders to Germany for my duty station. While in Germany I hooked up with two soldiers from Atlanta Moje & Chase, and formed the group “Bad Bloodz”. While in this group, I learned how to make beats and honed my musicianship skills with the help of Moje; using producers such as Havoc and Dr. Dre as fuel. With Moje and me producing, Bad Bloodz dropped its first album, “No Antidote”. We sold the album throughout K-Town Germany, and every soldier I seen I tired to make a connection with them, with my music. I would later come down on orders to leave Germany and take up residence in Fayetteville, North Carolina Ft. Bragg. Shortly after arriving at Fort Bragg I received orders to deploy on support of Iraqi Freedom. I guess it was a good thing because I then formed a group of individuals that understood hip-hop and real music. United we called ourselves Grind Team members such as J-Burna, Kruger, Whisper T, Geechie, Trouble, Da Kid, Mr. Clark, and Young Mav. Together we put out two mix tapes, The Hustle and Grind mix tapes part 1 & 2, produced and marketed in Iraq to motivate soldiers. I’ve performed at Iron Mic Tuesdays, Ruff Ryder’s annual convention, All Stars Gentleman’s club and numerous venues along the southeast coast. The Grind Team had two hit songs, “Round and Round” and the Ruff Ryders Anthem, “You Wanna Ride”. I recently parted ways with the crew, but I have projects in the making with Styles Entrainment, as part of a joint project with Born to Hustle Productions. I’m also working on my first solo album properly titled “Blue Collared” scheduled for release in May of 2008. I’m talented, self motivated, blue collared worker who believes in real music and at the same time…a Boss! So, if you like that hard realistic, southern street sound that comes from the soul. Then I’m that and that is me, I was born to by Music hip-hop.
