BIKINIRADIO

BandRock

BIKINIRADIO is alternative rock fused with hot-topic super-smart songs blasted through a heat-scarred black iron filter of metal-infuenced darkness and aggression.

Biography

In the 1940s and 1950s the United States detonated a series of hydrogen and atomic bombs near Bikini Atoll in the South Pacific. Radioactive poison suffused the water and spewed into the atmosphere, to be redeposited by rain and wind. This rendered the location permanently changed. Residents were removed from their homes, some tried to return but could not withstand the radioactivity.

BIKINIRADIO is about the world in which this happened. It is a band with a message, and with no message but a feeling - an impulse to sing and react to the carnage of everyday human events.

In a Name

Written By: Blank/Richter/Girard/Adkins

the virus dances in circles, in circles
the oldest secret game
the column marches in lockstep, a steplock
the simple truth in flames

truth doesn't wait for some signal, no signal
carried on riderless horse
it was a lie, it was only a white one
some black is soft like dirt

we give it milk and rain
divided separately
this silence we must break
to end up in a name

there was a car, and a castle, a motor
the autumn oxygen cold
the bullet traces a straight line, diagonal
the lead leaps, bounces and folds

in the art house, a cop shot, a break out
the faceless midday escape
somewhere the body is silent and shining
expertly cleaned of mistake

we give it milk and rain
divided separately
this silence we must break
to end up in a name

now we're drifting in slow time, in end time
the pages wind-taken lift
the cameras focus on rifles while softly
critical ashes drift

we give it milk and rain
divided separately
this silence we must break
to end up in a name

Margolis

Written By: Blank/Richter/Girard/Adkins

i've idiots dreams
and the heart of an angel-breaker
smother me heatwave
you summer-cocked goddess-daughter
swollen with baby
baby I hated it
forever without you
whatever, sometimes it hits me

you came to soon, you came too late
i will not bend, i will not break
it always ends, it never ends
my imaginary friend

i live an idiots life
god packed a rhino inside me
locked up in my skull-cage
the young dont owe me the mystery
we grappled like babies
baby i hated it
forever without you
whatever, sometimes it hits me

you came to soon, you came too late
i will not bend, i will not break
it always ends, it never ends
my imaginary friend

in any one life
were sure our gravity rages
im learning to take this
i want the void to change me
blow up everything lately
baby i hated it
forever without you
whatever, sometimes it hits me

you came to soon, you came too late
i will not bend, i will not break
it always ends, it never ends
my imaginary friend

Down Chamber

Written By: Blank/Richter/Girard/Adkins

this world's on fire
here we stand like little bird-like burning things
dumbstruck and clinging to the wires
we made our hearts these matchstick hearts
we soaked our heads in gasoline

i know i know i know
i put another round in the down chamber
i know i know i know
i put another round in the down chamber

down
down chamber
down
down chamber
down chamber

sink the bit in deep
the beast is heart-drilled, humping dirty enterprise
dry humping dirty enterprise
bound for desperation
we strip mine for the words to fuck with overlords
we fuck with all our overlords

i know i know i know
i put another round in the down chamber
i know i know i know
i put another round in the down chamber

down
down chamber
down
down chamber

devil's in the ballroom
devil's crossroads are a bargain working still
we become dancing human hand grenades
america you common face
fat, slow, employed and ugly
no one will embrace you, i see no one will embrace you

i know i know i know
i put another round in the down chamber
i know i know i know
i put another round in the down chamber

down
down chamber
down
down chamber
