The website is filling up with music from fully completed songs, to rough drafts; alternate edits and ideas with just lyrics and a guitar; sometimes even just beats and lyrics;

Included are some of the greatest instrumentals you'll ever hear:

the songs that got picked up MTV, Warner Bro's, Miramax,

including the commercials you fast forward through all the time on your TIVO and DVR.

And of course the obligatory littany of cover songs and versions.
Val will be posting them on www.bikinirobotarmy.com on a weekly basis.

if you love music, and are at all interested in the process of making it:

listening to a song be written/concieved and the steps taken to the final finished master, then you will love www.bikinirobiotarmy.com

This is where Val post's the songs he's currently working on, including all the outakes and ideas.

"Spin Magazine Interview"

Hometown: New York

Sounds Like: Beck, David Bowie

The Story: Val Brokesmit is to Bikini Robot Army as Mike Skinner is to the Streets. Brokesmit put together his one-man show in the summer of 2006, after his previous collaborative projects called it quits. Now gaining momentum through his OurStage profile -- he finished Top Ten in three categories in April -- he, his ProTools and the resulting dance-rock song haven't looked back.

Why do you think you are doing well on OurStage?
I'm not really sure. I'd like to think it's because my music is really, really great, but it's probably because my friend Paul designed a really cool Bikini Robot Army poster for me.

What's your coolest moment with a fan?
Once, after a show, a guy asked me to sign my name on his arse? That wasn't cool.

What keeps you grounded?
I don't know, I'm a hopelessly lazy guy. I think I'm meant to say something about my friends and my family, but I don't like my friends and I don't like my family. And I especially don't like my family of friends.

What do you think the Internet has done to change music?
The Internet has given us free music and has nearly annihilated the big music business, because now people can record/produce their own music at home at very little cost, and sell it themselves online.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Sitting in Montenegro eating a sandwich named after me; writing a set list, while being yelled at by my girlfriend because we're running late for our flight to New York where I'll be playing Madison Square Garden.

Who is your hero?
Keith Richards. All riffs lead back to Richards.

What is your biggest fear?
To be attacked by spiders.

Coolest moment performing?
Once, while playing a club in New York's East Village, Eddie Vedder came up onstage and sang 'I Am ... I Said' -- an excellent Neil Diamond song -- with me. I thought no one had ever heard of [that song]. Then afterwards he bought me drinks and got me laid.

If you could open for anyone, who would it be?
The Rolling Stones

Favorite food?
Corned beef on rye with swiss, Russian dressing and cole slaw.

What do you think makes you stand out from your competition?
The lyrics.

Bio

Bikini Robot, Army;
This is the sound we've all been waiting for!

Filmmakers have Auteurs, the select few who write produce direct and edit their films, from Godard to Tarantino, and Scorsese, to Hal Ashby, Spike Lee and Steven Speilburg... Why not musicians?

Val Broeksmit is a musical Auteur, even rarer than in filmmaking.
Val writes records, mixes and masters his own music.

Under the umbrella of Bikini Robot Army, Val has created some of the catchiest, greatest grooves, that has been missing from the music industry for the last decade.

His music takes the best parts of the 60's, 70's rock bands, mixing with the Mowtown grooves of the 70's and the post punk electronic dance beats of the 80's and 90's; complete with lyrical poetics and storytelling, from Rudyard Kipling to Robert Hunter to Robert Burns.

One of Val's most addictive hooks, is straight from Steinbecks "Of Mice and Men".

Bikini Robot Army is the greatest of aggregates.

Val play's most every instrument heard on each track with some extraordinary exceptions...sometimes he calls in his "special guests" to come and play, musical genius's of their own right (see below)

He has even learned to speak of him self in the third person to write his own press releases, even this bio (hi everybody, thanks for reading this far; the next selection i didn't write, I was lucky enough to be interviewed with Spin Magazine and I copied a selection from that article for inclusion in my bio)
