"Outpost in the Burbs performance review"

On Bill's February 5th show with Raul Midon:

"Singer/songwriter Bill Griese took the stage in front of a crowd intent on seeing the Latin jazz and soul pyrotechnics of the amazing Raul Midon, and very impressively reeled them in with intelligent melodic songs delivered with an ease that immediately brought James Taylor to mind".

"RadioIndy "For This Day" CD Review"

" 'For This Day' is a CD that will impress you in its thoughtful songwriting, strong musicianship/vocals, and professional production. Tasteful and lush-sounding acoustic guitar is at the center of the instrumentation. The songs have hook-filled, melodic choruses, and are rich and deep with instrumentation. You will enjoy the beautiful vocal harmonies in the choruses of 'Move On' and 'Here I Am.' 'Somebody Will' has got a great groove that will have your toes tapping. If you enjoy adult contemporary folk/acoustic pop legends like James Taylor, you will love this CD. Pick up a copy today!"

"NJ Daily Record "Too Long Coming" CD Review"

"Griese’s alluring melodies and warm singing voice on his latest album, “Too Long Coming,’’ recall the '70s music era in the very best way."
-- Chris Jordan, Daily Record - The Daily Record

"NJ Star Ledger "Too Long Coming" Review"

"Griese shares with James Taylor a warm voice, an ingratiating demeanor and an appreciation for the virtues of patience and persistence--and he's a solid acoustic guitar player too...The new disc is a substantial improvement on the debut (For This Day): "Too Long Coming" is a better-recorded, more confident and more energetic offering, and Griese sings like he knows it!"

Bio

Bill is a NJ-born musician who has been performing and penning songs for years. Often compared to such folk rock icons as James Taylor, Jackson Browne and Paul Simon, Bill brings a freshness to his songs and vocal delivery that break the acoustic genre. His acoustic guitar playing is simple yet compelling, and his ear for pop music and motown/r&b melodies push his songwriting into the commercial realm. Influences from alternative country and folk to classic rock and disco give Bill's original material a variety and melodic freedom uncommon among his peers. His song "Zoom" off of his latest 2011 CD "Too Long Coming" was the featured track in a national television commercial put out by Fujifilm. That CD has garnered rave reviews, and was produced by Grammy-award-winning musician John Ginty.
