I chose BillieJean as my artist stage name because I was inspired by Micheal Jackson,"The King Of Pop". My approach to music is very emotional and versatile. I went through a number of music genres before I realized that I did not fit into any previously existing one. So I decided to create my own. I am BillieJean, "The Counrty Pop-SoulR&B Queen". The neat thing about creating my own music genre is not only by it being hard to be critiqued as an artist, but also having the privilege to be able to bring unique originality to music. And, that is something that I believe is truly lacking in today's music. I believe that music is how feelings should sound. So, when I write my songs I want to be able to feel the emotions that the subject is going through. And, when I am listening to music, whether it is my music or not, if I can not feel it I do not care for it. I personally do this with every song that I write. I do not waste my time writing in fill in songs for my ablum, because I want to be able to listen to my whole album the whole way through. So, therefore I am very anal when writing songs whether it is for myself or for someone else. And, my motto is if I don't want to listen to it then I do not expect anyone else to want to listen to it either. No one hit wonder here, thats for sure. Well, I am done preaching here.
