...A cross between Radiohead and Jamie Cullum

Biography

Bridging the gap between Pop and Jazz in which pop tendencies are applied to the context of a piano trio allowing for open solos and spontaneous exchanges as part of the compositional makeup.

Influences include Radiohead, Devine Comedy, Talking heads, Don Blackman, Paul Simon and Ben folds.

I aim to write accessible, contemporary songs for an acoustic Jazz ensemble (Piano/Bass/Drums) in which instrumental spontaneity and improvisation are explored; I am trying to capture the heart of Jazz within a more accessible / mainstream context of song.

Lyrics

Foolproof

Written By: Bill Laurance

Inside a speech I held my tounge
Where nothing gained is nothing run
Below a tide is raining in
Its only Now that I start to sing

I can hold this feeling so long
You made me wanna write this song
I can hold this feeling true and
I've seen it all
Its full proof

The wind was slow my hands were cold
I sense my teeth are getting old
While you grow younger by the day
To so many you will lead the way

(Chorus)

The wind was slow my hands were cold
I sense my teeth are getting old
While you grow younger by the day
To so many you will lead the way

(Chorus)
