Bio

Bill’s music career began in 1987, when he left college and moved to Burlington, VT to actively pursue his music interests. After meeting a few local musicians, he was referred to a local booking agent, and a couple of weeks later was on the road with his first full-time professional band, “Bonzai”. He toured the entire east coast and all of Canada for the next 7 years with the agencies top bands “Christine and the Dream”, “Red Heaven”, and “Inside White”, and in 1989 was among the largest grossing circuit bands in the state. He left the road after the birth of his twin boys and devoted his musical interests to writing.
Bill began recording his first album in July of 1998. He now found himself raising his twins on his own, working full-time for a furniture manufacturer, and trying to write and record a full-length cd. It was a daunting process.
In August of 2000, “Starving Artist” was released and placed in local stores, with 2 singles in rotation on area radio stations. As a result, he was asked to join a Burlington based band, and “Sideshow Bob” became his fifth professional band. And…he continued to write.
In 2001, Bill met the woman he would later marry, and his music began a crucial transformation. His lyrics began to take on a more positive and upbeat trend, and his songs started to get more interest.
In June of 2003, Bill was married and his family doubled. His new wife Lisa brought 2 boys of her own into the mix. They moved to Essex Junction, VT and Bill began recording his new music. Now that he was closer to the musician pool, he brought more outside influences into the studio, and his songs exploded with new life. Cliff Wanner, John Dusharm, Todd Mulvey, Kevin Boyea, Mark Lurvey and Steve Horton became consistent contributors to his music, and through these connections he began a new experience in songwriting…collaboration.
John Dusharm began to bring ideas of his own into the studio. Bill and Cliff took the ideas to heart and the three of them began polishing the ideas and molding them into songs. In February of 2005, they released a cd calling themselves Zuzu’s Petals.
As of the summer of 2008, Bill lives in Essex Jct. with his wife and kids, works in sales full-time for a Manhattan Rep Group, is under contract along with Zuzu’s Petals with WACBIZ, continues to play with Sideshow Bob, is about to release a 2nd Zuzu's Petals cd entitled "Springtime in Pottersville", and still…he writes.
