Lyrics

Ghostdance

Written By: Bill Miller

I wanna go where the blind can see
I wanna go where the lame will walk
I wanna see the sick ones clean
Where the deaf can hear and the silent talk

Where are you going....to a Ghostdance in the snow?

I am a mighty warrior
and I'm finally coming home

I wanna go where the dead are raised...
Where the mountain lion lays down with the lamb...

I wanna stand where god is praised
I wanna ride across the plains to the promised land...

Where are we going? to a Ghostdance in the snow?

I am a mighty warrior
And I'm finally coming home

Where I'm going don't need to raise your voice...

No starvation, we'll have plenty to eat
No guns, No wars, No hateful noise

Just a Victory dance, we'll never taste defeat...

Where there's nothing done or said that can't be forgiven...

Where every step you take is on sacred ground...

Walk away from death to the land of the living...

Where all the lost tribes are finally found...

Where are you going?
To a Ghostdance in the snow?

I am a Mighty Warrior
Yes I'm finally coming home...

The Reason (Ghostdance)

Written By: Bill Miller

So many hills that we have climbed
So many trails we left behind
So many songs that I forget
The journey isn't over yet

Through all the years I watched you grow
Little secrets we both know
How I held you while you slept
I've always felt the tears you wept

There is a reason for your laughter
There is a reason for your pain
There is a dream your chasing after

There are some things you'll never change...
There are some things we'll never change...

So many rivers we have crossed
The love we found, the love we lost
The steps we made I will retrace
The broken memories can't erase

There is a reason for your laughter
There is a reason for your pain
There is a dream your chasing after

There are some things you'll never change...
There are some things we'll never change...

Forgive (Ghostdance)

Written By: Bill Miller

Seven blue stones in the desert sand
A shiny gun in a young thiefs hand
A stolen car and a broken dream
Blood on his hands and it won't come clean
No where to run, no where to turn
the fires of rage begin to burn

He cant go home and he can't go on
His flesh is weak and his spirit gone

Now he's behind a prison wall
He doesn't have the will to live
He said it was allhis fathers fault
He taught his son the way to live
He was unable to forgive

She wore his ring for 30 years
Then one night he confessed her darkest fears
He'd been unfaithful, been untrue
What could she say, What could she do...
No where to run,
No where to turn
The fires of rage begin to burn
She cant go home and she can't go on...
Her flesh is weak and her spirits gone...
He had betrayed her with a kiss
Killed her desires, her will to live
Who was blinded, what did they miss...
Will she be able to forgive?
Are we able to forgive?

Seven blue stones in the desert sand...
A shiny gun in a young thiefs hand
A stolen car and a broken dream

Blood on his hands and it won't come clean

I Believe (Spirit Rain)

Written By: Bill Miller

I believe in the things I cannot see
I believe that the truth will come to me
And it will flow like a river to the sea
I believe

I believe in the dreamer and the dream
I believe that a soul can be redeemed
With dignity in a world that's seeking peace
I believe...I believe

Through the ages and in my time
I've seen changes
These are the things I believe

I believe in the famine and the feast
I believe in the dawning of the east
And the dark where we struggle with the beast
I believe

I believe in love for you and me
I believe in the hope that sets you free
A gift to you may this vision be released

The Promise (Spirit Rain)

Written By: Bill Miller

Pine trees reaching up to heaven
Ravens dancing in the sky
The winds will go out where you send them
Like winged messengers they fly

Water comes down from the raincloud
Lazy river start to flow
The forest floor echoes a new sound
The wild seed begins to grow

I will not forsake you
I will never leave
Wherever this world may take you
My love you must believe

A wild horse running down the canyon
A thing of beauty to behold
You'll have my word that you can stand on
You'll feel the promise in your soul

Pine trees reaching up to heaven
Ravens dancing in the sky....
