I started out in the south Chicago suburbs as a comic relief bass player in a Top 40 band, graduated to rock & roll and the blues, moved to Texas after high school, got into a relatively new field known as "country/rock", and also took the first steps toward being a songwriter.
I write songs which I think most people can identify with at some point or other, songs about day-to-day things.
My song "The Southern Side of A Northern Town" (from "Leap of Faith") was the final song of a 52-part BBC World Service documentary on the history of popular music from 1600-2000.
I did a brief tour of The Netherlands in November 2012, and am currently booking dates for May-June 2014.
My influences are The Beatles, The Rolling Stones (1968-1972), Ray Davies of The Kinks, Stephen Stills, Richard Thompson, and Gram Parsons & Chris Hillman.
