Lyrics

April's Not The Name

Written By: Bill Patton

April's not the name
April's not the name
April's not the name
Of my True Love

Kitty's not the name
Kitty's not the name
Kitty's not the name
Of my True Love

Yoshiko's not the name
Yoshiko's not the name
Yoshiko's not the name
Of my True Love

This One

Written By: Bill Patton

This One is consecrated and holy, holy,
This one is rectified and grounded in magma
This one can only be seen through a hole in paper
This one holds it's own against soothsayers and dragon slayers

Oh I couldn't wait so I opened it early
I could have called you a better name
But I was caught up in the moment

My Harem Will Be True To Me

Written By: Bill Patton

If you don’t come back to me
I will go across the sea
And start a community
Based on what you did to me
And sustainability
And polygamy

I will build an army
And we will be sexy
A sexy cavalry
A sexy infantry
A sexy girl navy
And a sexy victory

My harem will be true to me
My harem will be true to me
My harem will be true to me
My harem will be true to me
My harem will be true to me
My harem will be true to me

Crimefighter Who Pities Fools

Written By: Bill Patton

I went into a church -
I’m not religious,
I was working on a case.
I see this brunette there,
she was giving me a look;
what was I supposed to do?
Later on we made it back at her place
with our clothes strewn on the floor.
I’m not religious,
not religious.

Turns out her life is in danger -
she needs me.
It’s the very same people
that I’m after,
I’m a good guy.
Just then a bullet through the window interrupts our romance.
It’s just a drive by, just a warning.

I’m just a cop who plays by his own rules -
A crimefighter who pities fools

They were planning a hit down at the warehouse by the river.
We were driving by the place when I got the call.
I said I’m going in - you wait here in the car.
And I made sure my gun was loaded.

Well she followed me in without me knowing –
she was headstrong.
They tied her up and held her at gunpoint, from which I had to rescue her.
Later on I said I’ve got to be moving on.
Another brunette, broken-hearted.

I’m just a cop who plays by his own rules -
A crimefighter who pities fools.
I’m just a cop who plays by his own rules -
A crimefighter who pities fools.

And I may be a renegade, but at least I get results,
Unlike you stuffed-shirt, play-by-the-book, suit-and-tie-wearing feds and captains.
