Billy Bean is a francophone duo composed of Émi (AKA Émilie Lebel), finalist for the national singer-songwriter competition Planète BRBR, in 2017 and Byrun Boutin-Maloney, formerly of Indigo Joseph, winner of the western singer-songwriter competition, Chant'Ouest 2017. Together they combine Émi's whiskey-honey voice with Byrun's grungy instrumental arrangements to create a fragile but rough sound. Émi's distilled lyrics will transport you back to all your old pain and heartbreak, but do not fear, she'll break up the darkness with her dry humour and lighthearted banter.
