Bam Bam Bam Bam! It beats like a hammer, like a drum, like a wild pulse, like a heart of someone in love. Like Billy And The Firm, a second after they go up on stage and start the show with this strong number.

But before you go see them live, do yourself a favor and go to their Myspace page. And if you're already there, get ready. Put on a protective vest, just to be on the safe side: 'Bam Bam,' the first track on the track list will drop you to your ass. You'll soon get up and by the second track you'll get kicked in the ass again. You won't escape the stroke of the third track either.

When the fourth track hits you, you'll already have departed -- in some mysterious way – to rise again somewhere else. The Firm is not a transport company but in 'Our Getaway', they carry the listener to the beaches of freedom. All Billy wants is to surf all day, play guitar and daydream and she's only thirty-something.

You have to know: Billy Levy (our mutual surname iscoincidental) - lead vocals & guitar, Yon Lev- guitar, Dan Zeytun-bass and Vocals, Tal Miller-drums. They don't think they're Foxes. Actually, they are one lioness and three real foxes. Why? Because they play garage punk, emotional, plentiful, low-fi indie rock influenced by the old and good stuff (Velvet Underground, Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash). Infused with an innovative fresh beat that is also identified \identical with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Flaming Lips, The Kills and PJ Harvey.

The Firm like all small start-up companies started the show with little steps. As the time passed the guys became more confident, their shares rose and the crowd showed its trust. There was an energetic, incisive, swell from the moment the show began until the end when the audience prayed for an encore or at least a few dividends.

All that happened mainly because Billy Levy is a star-quality in your face, a charismatic rocker and the most ultra cool sexy performer you'll find today in town. no shticks, guaranteed.

Among new songs such as 'Better Than You' to 'Promoted Monkeys' which won't let one stand still through a Mudhoney cover, The sweetness being poured out of 'Upside Down' and the bursting out power from Dull TV Drama, Try to earn some time amid songs but it won't help you, the enjoyment will make it slip through your fingers like water.
Through all that you'll also find Yonatan's electric guitar yowling like a ruttish beast and Miller's drums waiting for a touch down. Billy's facial expressions and body language inspire intimacy and splash intelligent teasing and her voice which fantasizes- "All the cool things we would do / all the time."

I believe her, because the goods Billy is delivering on stage and in her debut album that will be released at the beginning of next year, Thoughts From The Lioness Lab' is a local asset and a musical treasure you don't encounter every day.
So next time, when you go for a walk in the indie forests and meet the Lioness and the three foxes on the way- don't say that you didn't know- right before you're attacked you'll hear a voice, that voice, Bam Bam, like the heart a moment before it stops beating.
