Bio

Billy Crabbe is a singer-songwriter and guitarist. Based in London since early
2014. In a short space of time, Billy has become an active part of the London music
as both an artist and a freelance guitarist. Billy has performed at The Dorchester
Hotel, Purple Turtle (Camden), The Underbelly Von Zagrib, Boxpark, Charlie Wright’s
and Proud Camden.

With the debut of his first single, “Way Back Home”, Billy has embarked on
a musical journey to share experiences and thoughts through soulful storytelling.
The single was released on 25th May 2015 and is available to stream and purchase
on multiple online platforms, including iTunes.

Born in Luxembourg in 1991, he moved to Greece at age 6, then to the
United States at age 15 and now in London since age 22. His interest in music was
sparked during family road trips around Europe during which he would listen to
songs from the Disney Soundtracks to Top of the Pops, as well as artists such as
Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, The Jackson 5, Phil Collins and many more.

Billy’s formative years were spent in Thessaloniki, Greece, where his parents
supported his love of music by taking him to his first piano lesson at age 7. A few
years later, he began his studies in classical guitar, and later on he took up the
electric guitar after discovering his love of heavy metal.

In 2009, Billy was offered a place at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA
from which he graduated in 2013 with a BA in Performance. The high standard of
teaching and mentoring Billy received at Berklee greatly influenced the musician he
has become today. His involvement in film scoring, production and engineering,
allowed him to develop skills extending beyond songwriting and singing, as evidence
by the fact that he produces and engineers all of his own music.

In his final year at Berklee, Billy formed a band called the Hypnopompics.
Following graduation, the band moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue their
musical ambitions. They performed in various venues such as Café 939 (Boston, MA),
Kimbro’s (Franklin, TN) and Puckett’s (Franklin, TN). Their music received attention
from a few of online blogs and news websites such as Cultural Weekly (by Adam
Leipzig). At the end of 2013, Billy decided to move back to Europe, with London the
next logical step in the development of his musical career.

“Way Back Home” is just an introduction to the artist with much more to
come. Currently, Billy Crabbe is showcasing his original material around London,
whilst also preparing for his next project.
