Billy Proulx & The Crew

Billy Proulx has been entertaining audiences all over the southland and the southwest for over 35 years. He's played The Whiskey and The Troubadour (before it was Pay to Play), and so far, his biggest claim to fame is headlining at BB King's at the Universal Amphitheater. And also opening for Johnny Winter. Solo, or with his band 'The Crew', Billy always pleases. With a warm 'welcome to my living-room style' he blends Blues, Rock 'n' Roll, and Folk, into an Americana mix that is powerful and authentic.

The renowned, Jon 'Sparky' McConnell, once the front man for The Flys, is now fronting The Crew, giving the show depth and variety.

E.R. Saunders, who has played with Danny Kalb, James Clem, Steven Nystrup and others, adds his electrifying guitar. His tribute number to Mike Bloomfield is sure-fire in bringing down the house. E.R. has produced The Crews CDs and is currently working with Olises Naranjo producing the next one.

The amazing Olises on bass and Rick Henderson on back beat drums round out The Crew.

They have developed into an excellent blues band. The thing that sets them apart from other blues band is their authentic low down style.They are not the usual steady diet of west coast swing and blues/rock that you may be used to in California. Although they can play those styles well, their ability to capture the essence of Chicago and Delta sets them apart. The true blues aficionados well love these guys.
