Bio

Billy Ray is a high energy, rare tall talent for our Philadelphia area. Billy Ray's third band "Real Trouble" was formed in September 2004 the group features the tunes of the Boogie Rock, Hard Rock, Southern Rock, and Blues Rock genre. We perform the music of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Black Crowes, Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Free, Aerosmith, Joe Walsh, Allman Brothers, Mountain, Eric Clapton, Cream, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Ten Years After, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Steve Miller and some CSN. Our performances are full of rockin' guitar solos. Our Stevie Ray, Skynyrd, Hendrix and Clapton guitar solos match the original notes and intensity as performed by the original artist. Our music is full of romantic appeal, toe tappin', head boppin', butt shakin' fun, gut wrenching rockin' guitar riffs, and soul to soul - heart to heart singin'. The band "Real Trouble" are the designated ambassadors of authentic Rockin' Party Music for the tri-state area. Loose your own troubles in something that's still got that "Real" electrified Hendrix hippie-trippin' sounds - the way music is susposed to be felt & heard. The band performs as a trio or as a four piece. We'd be proud to perform for your wedding reception if don't mind having more than the bride and groom all worked up at the end of the evening!
Billy Ray has been rockin' & bluesin' around since he was 10 years old. He started out with a passion for Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Jimi Hendrix, and Aerosmith then just worked his way back to the “Real Deal”. He has spent many a day and night workin' on Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, Freddie King, Albert King, and Albert Collins tunes, and has taken on the Philly scene with a mission to convert as many as possible to this style of Blues Rock. His singing is full of soul and I guarantee it will rattle your cage and squeeze your heart.
Bulman, originally from Philadelphia, Bulman has been playing bass since he was a teenager. He studied bass and music theory for 6 years in Philly and New York. For some reason the bass just clicked….the strings didn’t hurt as bad as regular guitar strings!! He played in various cover bands and played up and down the east coast doing covers and the “disco” thing prior to entering the Navy for 6 years. (lost too much money on the road and had to get a real job) While in the Navy he played in Navy stage bands, and for awhile had to play the tuba! Bulmans's musical influences range from A to Z in the music world. Anything worth listening to was worth learning! Bass players at the top of his list are Geddy Lee, Percy Jones, Rocco Prestia, Stanley Clarke, Michael Manring, Geezer Butler and of course John Entwhistle…. Any of you guys I stole your chops from, sorry you’re not on the credit list!! (next time) My most memorable performance was a benefit for a young boy with cancer in mid-west Pennsy. At the end of our show I was able to give the boy a genuine fender guitar strap on stage!! Bill’s favorite nickname is Top, short for carrot top! But he’ll answer to about almost anything cept a dog whistle cause you can’t hear them! Some of the bands Bill was in were, original bands the Session, The Shudder Dogs, and the Essentials. Cover bands were New Relic, Vertigo, and Autumn Road. Rick loves to discuss anything bass or music related so if you ever want to ask or talk just grab him or email him. Last but not least Bill would like to thank Benny Cintioli of Cintioli’s Music in Philly for all his patience over the years! Hope to see you all soon. Scott a native of Philadelphia has been playing drums off and on since the age of five. Although his mum said he came out of the womb with a set of maracas attached! The blues are what keeps Scott's sadistic mind happy. Scott's influences are Steve Gadd, Chris Layton, and Mitch Mitchell.
