Bio

One part Bill, one part Vincent, three parts raggle taggle maverick vagabond troubadour - a cocktail to grace any happy hour inspired adventure.

Billy Barratt and David Vincent’s inspired tales from the front line of life delve deep into a narrative so resonant it beggars belief that two south Londoners, so young, can draw on
such a deep seam of emotion with such engaging empathy. They deliver evocative stories – if indeed that is what they are (my god I hope these guys haven’t lived all this!) - of life’s bittersweet chapters that past masters of the art, Cave, Davies, Morrisey & Stipe have taken years to hone.

And the vehicle for these dark but redemptive marvels?

Well the searing fiddle lines of Matt Woodward would suggest a folk infusion, undeniably, but as the Devil goes down to Georgia he’s hijacked on the Holloway Road by drummer Jack Blenkinsop and bassist Joe Kinsey, and taken to a Wetherspoons to watch Arsenal FC on the big screen. Reeling in confusion he sells his soul to Billy Vincent, learning a few card tricks and questionable jokes in the process.

But for every folk inflection there, is an edge to Billy Vincent that suggests they share a kinship with The Faces or The Libs as much as anybody else: this is a gang you’d like to
hang with as much as eulogise.

Lose your heart to Billy Vincent, who knows, they may well document it as it breaks.
