Bio
Belgian born singer/songwriter BILONDA has recently become a Madrid's resident and the richness of her background reflects within a diamond vocal texture, with polychromed and polyglot modulations. Her music takes us at the heart of a groove coloured musical quest: soul, jazz, house, gospel and hip hop!
Her stylistic variety and versatility opens the door to heterogeneous sounding prestigious collaborations which are slowly and steadily shaping a budding solo career. Her presence magnetizes the audiences, under the charm of an artist that generously shares her humanity and emotions.
In this year 2011, after touring Spain with "Hair: Love & Rock Musical", BILONDA is now participating to both national and international tours of the "Forever King of Pop" musical. In 2010 digitally released worldwide her first demo EP "Growing Old" as well as 3 singles she wrote with both upcoming and established names in the house industry (as Christian Alvarez, U-Ness and Jed Set, Samson Lewis, etc...) for the belgian house record label Soulheat.
To top it up, she achieved a minitour in Japan within the JMW (Japan Music Week) from which she brought back future collaborations with DJ Rennie Foster ("Savior" featuring Aaron Carl, "Devil's water", etc...) and Beatsqueezers. She also created some buzz around her appearance in the spoof add "Rhys Ifans vs Voodoo Mama" next to Hollywood actor Rhys Ifans ('Notting Hill', 'Harry Potter and The Deadly Hallows part I', 'Hannibal rising').
She is putting the finishing touches to her album - which will see the light in 2011 - will include songs in English, French and Spanish.
Meanwhile, she occasionally collaborates with the Orfeó Mayurqa choir performing gospel songs.
BILONDA has lent her voice to Layers of Sound and The Demetrios Project's third single Feel Alive already released on "Layers of Sound Recordings". This very same track is also part of the "House is Love: vol. 2" compilation (Conya/Clubstar), remixed by the German house music master Henry Kohn.
In 2007, the singles "Mission" and "Thanking You" were respectively included in the Ministry of Sound compilations "HouSexy International" and "HouSexy Housewarming", the renowned dance music UK label!
