BIMBO ELECTRICO is a multi-creative electronic duo formed by artist and musician Zoe Bowie and producer Kipkillah. Born out of the smoke of the western dunes of Holland, this duo mixes unforgiving post-techno / electronic beats with honey sweet vocals. Zoe Bowie, as her name tells, uses her love for David Bowie physically and vocally as an inspiration to flirt with the 80’s, only to promptly return back to the future. Listening to their songs is a tongue-in-cheek artistry as lyrics about broken romances, psycho bitches, horses and superstars pass by with a little wink. Known for their increasingly glamorous performances they have an aggressively physical and insanely energetic touch. Where’s the full-tilt party? With all that sex appeal and addictive beats, we are not satisfied before everybody dances like nobody’s watching.
BIMBO ELECTRICO has played with the POPRONDE 2009 in a numerous stages in Holland, from Amsterdam (Sugarfactory), Eindhoven, Groningen, Den Haag (o.a. Paard van Troje) to Arnhem (Luxorlive), as the support act voor ALEC EMPIRE and CHICKS ON SPEED. This year they were finalists of the GROTE PRIJS VAN ZUID-HOLLAND 2010 (cat. dance/producer). Their first album will be released in November this year with a release party to be held in Den Haag.
