Bio

From Congo & ivory coast, Bingui Jaa Jammy offers a powerful, rebel multicultural Reggae. Inspired by his vast experience all over Africa, absorbing culture & music & his meeting with his queen brothers of the Jamaican “Diaspora”.

Since his early age, he develops his talent within the Choirs & street bands. Very soon he initiates musical movements in the root neighbourhood. Then founds his own band “The jahman people” . In 89, a first album “Kongo bongo revolution” is released on the African market, pirated in Nigeria. He composes & sings “Namibia children” , the song is raised in effigy by the Congolese media as the symbol of the liberation of the last African colony. Many tours follow in Congo & throughout Africa. A second album “Congo complot” is released in Togo. Exodus, the Congolese civil war bring him to reinforce his tours in other African countries.

In 1999, he meets “Vent d’échange” & since develops his career on both continents (Europe & Africa). His third album “Adonaï” is released in 2000 in Burkina Faso. Followed up by his forth “Golem 13” in France & Africa 2002. He then creates at the side of Vent d’échange an Afro-French artistic & technical collective to support merging African culture & artists who gathers 13 artists around a collective project: the compilation “the Gang Rebel du Faso” wish opens onto a French tour (2005) & in 2006 African one. In 2007, he leaves to Jamaica to meet his Jamaican soul brothers, share experience & initiates the making of his new album “Ligne de Front”. In 2008 this latest album is released, followed by a French tour & in Spain his participation to the festival of culturs of Sarragoza. 2009, Bingui will be sharing his role of artist & godfather of projects led in Burkina Faso at the side of Vent d’échange: The New compilation of merging artists “The Gang Rebel du Faso”, 2nd volume “Debout!” & the setting up of the “AfriKa N’Reggae Live Festival” wich took place from the 5th to the 19th of December in Ouagadougou. 2009/2010 the African release of his album & of the compilation & new tours to come.

Today a powerful comeback with his new & fifth album
« Ligne de Front »
The fruit of this long musical & human experience, which gathers Africa,
Jamaica & the voice of all the Diaspora. A ripe Fruit, full of meaning & beauty.
