BiPed

Life long friends and collaborators on many artistic endeavors which include screenplays, video shorts and music, the songwriting /performance duo of Chris Behning and John Rice is well on their way to establishing a unique and haunting new sound as evidenced by the accompanying compositions. Inspired by classic artists like the Beatles, Stones, Van Morrison, Sting, Joabim, and Marley, the boys began performing in recent years at local Northeast music festivals. Unable to contain their creativity and play these standards straight up they soon began sampling some original work during these sets and were pleasantly surprised to find that the pieces were readily accepted and preferred to their classic covers. A BiPed performance is now roughly 75% original music.

The BiPed composing team of Behning/Rice is also extremely prolific. The handful of compositions currently recorded is backed up by over 50 other complete songs and concepts! Currently employed, mature professionals, the guys often fantasize over the limitless possibilities if given the opportunity to exploit their composing and recording potential on a full time basis.

Where would Classic Rock have gone if the asteroid hadn't struck in the early 70s? We like to think we have the answer. We also like to think there is a substantial "boomer"market out there that is ready to embrace the continued evolution of this music genre. Blessed with the wisdom of life experience and a youthful voice, we're ready to write the next chapter.
