"Album Review"

“With their new singer Romy, the Birdbones sound more coherent than ever. Their well-crafted fusion of progressive rock and pop stands out for its interesting arrangements and some very catchy moments.”
Yves Stephany - Presenter at Radio 100,7
“...yes I like Birdones 2013! Yes, `Phoenix’ is a promising and important step forward. Go and get it. You will like it!”
Roger Hamen - Music Advisor specialist
Great arrangements, sweeping sounds, rich, full, rhythmic, smooth vocals, sometimes hard, sometimes soft and funky at times. With all those ingredients Birdbones has focused their sound to produce their own style of rock – I think they’re on the path to success!”
Adam Walder - FUZE Luxembourg / Journalist Luxemburger Wort
“What immediately comes to mind is this nonchalance in al- ternating between soft and intimate tunes to more dynamic and powerful elements without losing focus. Off-kilter rhythms, on point instrumental arrangements, intricate gui- tar riffs and catchy vocals create a very unique atmosphere. Birdbones took their time and we are glad they did.”
David Moreira - Music:LX - Divers

The History
Founded in 2010, Birdbones had an extensive presence throughout Luxembourg in 2011. They released their first single “Every Single One of Us” which was fre- quently played on the radio, as well as a video clip. They played a dense concert tour and participated in different workshops to improve their songwriting and stage performance. There were some line-up changes in 2012, which led to the introduction of the new Amsterdam-based singer Romy. They then intensely worked on their first album entitled “Phoenix”, a name reflecting the band’s own story. With this first album, Birdbones are planning to spread their wings and cross the borders to reach new grounds.
