Bio
Formed in 2010, Bird Dog is a Brooklyn based outfit with a sound that draws on a wide set of roots influences from Aretha and Bobby D to S.E. Rogie, John Holt and The Louvin Brothers. Members of the band play currently with The Avett Brothers, Hospitality and O'Death and have played previously with Langhorne Slim, TK Webb, Hellbent Hooker, Loveable Losers and Shots in the Dark. Bird Dog is led by Ben Chace, an indie filmmaker, whose 2010 film Wah Do Dem was a music inspired odyssey set in Brooklyn and Jamaica, and won best picture at the LA Film Festival, and can be seen on Netflix.
