Bio
“Sweetheart, (my) darling, slightly, charming, wrap me in nettles and thorns…”
From their ambitious beginnings in 2007, Birdeatsbaby have begun to stride purposefully from the shadows, and seedy underbelly of the Brighton music scene. Described as “…accomplished and confident…” By 405 Magazine, they are dark and theatrical, but with a tongue in cheek humour that will make you thankful that you haven’t been saved.
Eschewing the overused guitars of so many modern bands, the mostly female line-up have introduced cello, violin and piano to unleash their brand of twisted classical cabaret rock. Their songs are about heartache and loss of innocence, but you will find no self-pity here. On the contrary, there is humour hidden in the darkest of moments. As their somewhat fanatic fans will attest.
This up and coming band have shared the stages around the UK with acts such as Thomas Truax and The World Inferno Friendship Society. They have already launched their first album to great success, and have recently completed a grand tour of the UK and Europe.
As the band continue to work on their new material, more performances, and a second album, are in the pipeline. Birdeatsbaby are working hard, and always striving to bring more to their audiences. They are eagerly planning bigger and better shows, and are looking forward to what the next year will bring.
